This necklace is made with a variety of old beads. The Jatim beads from East Java are of several types with five wound beads that could be called pelangi (lit. rainbow). Then there are two green and white mosaic jatim beads and a bead which was made with two techniques, mosaic and the combed stripes of the pelangi beads. Of interest is the round bead on the right which is most probably a mosaic bead but which has been eroded by its long time in the ground. These beads are separated by Indo-Pacific beads which are beween 200 to 2000 years old. The round teal green beads are also very old but the oxidised glass was polished by the finder to show the color.
The beads are in sound condition but some show some pitting and oxidation reflective of their age.
